Kids Hope USA mentoring
The Christmas Pageant is December 14 at 5:00 “With Every Christmas Card I Make” starring the Sunday School children, Doug & Kris Tracy, our Choir, and the Korean Congregation musicians. This is going to be a great night, so bring friends and family as we take a new fresh look at the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will have refreshments following. Sunday school children need to arrive at 4:00 for costuming and we will have an early dinner for them. Shuttle service is available. Call Anne Krueger at the office for arrangements. Adventure Club
Adventure Club is youth group for 1-5th graders. We meet once a month for a fun event, friends, fun lessons, skits, games, crafts, and much more. Always bring your friends, and parents are welcome to stay too. Here is what we have coming up:
Wed. Dec. 3 - 6:00 PM– A special night with a visit from Santa and refreshments, crafts, puppets, and music. Bring friends, family, and cameras.
Sun. Dec. 14 - 5:00 PM – Christmas Pageant – With Every Christmas Card I Make. Bring friends, and enjoy the evening with refreshments.
HYC - Hyper Young Christians
Hyper Young Christians is the middle school youth group. We meet weekly for a variety of activities, friends, games, skits, powerful lessons, trampoline, DDR, ping-pong and monthly mission projects.
We have had an amazing month of activities! We finished the end of October with Slime Time, our semi annual garage sale, and a Halloween Dance at the Arvada Presbyterian Church. Wheewww!!!
Thank you to everyone who helped with Slime Time Fall Festival. We had 14 game stations, costumes, crafts, a chili/soup potluck, Professor Gizmo’s Lab, and of course slime! A special thanks to everyone who helped with this fun night: Bill & Pat Kyle, Ed Black and the Damascus Youth Group, Georgia Lacy, Anne & Mark Krueger, Butch & Ben Bailey, Sandy Madura, Shirley & Gay Lillagore, Mary Hellen, Matt & Melany Jones, Carla Helms, Karen Davis, Bess Dalvit, Lisa Barlow, Alyssandra Hossler, Laura Swanson, Jerome HadleyDike, Roger Schillinger, and Nancy Appenzeller.
Thank you to everyone who helped and or donated for the garage sale. We made $920 in a fast whirlwind of 2 days!! Thanks to Ed Black, Anne & Ben Krueger, Ben Bailey, Al VanderBroek, John Graessle, Jerry Logan, Nancy & Steve Appenzeller, and both youth groups!

Sun. Dec. 14 5:00 PM- Christmas pageant & Birthday Party for Jesus.
Sat. Dec. 20 – HYC 4:00-6:00 PM Christmas party with white elephant gift exchange @ Bailey's.
HYC Christmas vacation Dec. 21-Jan. 4, we will resume schedule Jan. 10th.

Drama

Puppet Ministry :
The puppet team meets semi-regularly to perform for various events or projects. This ministry is a fun creative way to express faith, tell bible stories, and experience awesome music in a whole new way.
The team had fun participating in the Broomfield Day’s Parade representing our children’s programs. If you are interested in joining the team, training is available and it only takes one hour and it is good exercise for you arms. Puppeteers need to be middle school age and up through adult. Current puppeteers are Gay Lillagore, Brittany Bailey, Ben Krueger, Sarah Hellen, & Alex Coleman. Welcome to our newly trained arms; Ruth VanDerBroek, Carla Helms, and Butch Bailey. Nursery Care is available every Sunday for infants and children up to kindergarten age in the preschool room at the southeast entry of the church. The nursery is staffed by our new head nursery worker, Gemma Wilson, and her assistant Andrew Fager. |
