Fall Potluck - 10/18

There were 50 people who attended the fellowship pot luck on October 18th.  There was good food (as usual), laughter and a whole lot of visiting going on!


 


Ladies Lunch group



The Ladies' Luncheon Group will meet the 3rd Monday of every month. Meet at the church at 12:30 to go to a local restaurant. It is not necessary to come each month. Come when you can!

The next gathering will be November 17th.


If you are able to make it, please call Dee Vincent at 303-452-4920 so she can make reservations.  All ladies are welcome!

The men are getting back together again for the monthly men's breakfast on Saturday mornings starting on Saturday, November 8th at 7:30 AM at the church. Chefs are Ed Black and Bill Kyle.   All men are invited...bring a friend!  See you there.

The "ROMEOS" also get together on Wednesday mornings at various local restaurants. Contact Bud Schipper for details.




        
Community Thanksgiving Service

This year our Community Thanksgiving Service will be held on November 25th at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 12099 Lowell Blvd. Broomfield at 7 p.m. to be followed by fellowship time.  Please bring a pie to share! 


Men's Retreat

            Sign up your buddies and reserve a room or cabin so you can join us for a guys’ night out!  Enjoy the inspiration that comes from Highlands Camp on the verge of winter AND the inspiration that comes from focusing on your spirit.  Bring both a body and a spirit ready to rest, stretch, and grow.

Here Comes Santa Claus

Yes, kids, we will once again have Santa Claus here at our church.  The jolly gentleman will be here on Wednesday, December 3rd.

At 6:00 pm while we wait for Santa to arrive, our very own Puppets will perform for us.  Once Santa arrives you will get a chance to visit with him for a few minutes.    Be sure and have your folks bring their camera as they will want a picture of you with Santa.

Tell your folks to mark their calendar so you can visit with Santa.

(And guess what….there will be cookies for you afterwards!)


        
Here We Come A Caroling....

Sunday, December 7th, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm we will go caroling to the homes of some of our members.    It doesn’t matter if you can sing (although it helps if we have some singers) we want you to join us.

It is always so nice to have carolers during the holiday season and we hope to brighten the lives of some of church members by stopping by and singing a couple of songs for them. 

We will meet at the church at 4:00 to go caroling then return to the church for Supper. 


        
Happy Birthday Dear Jesus!

Sunday, December 14th following the Christmas Pageant, we will have our Birthday Party for Jesus!  This party is for young and old so join us after the pageant as we wish Jesus HAPPY BIRTHDAY!


        
Annual Christmas Cookie Exchange

The ladies coffee for December will be our Annual Cookie Exchange.  Cindy Pearson will be hosting this wonderful event on Saturday, December 20th at 9:30 am.  Cindy’s address is 5000 Aspen Creek Drive.  Her phone number in case you need directions is 303-469-3906.  Aspen Creek Drive is just north of 136th off of Sheridan.

If you want to exchange cookies bring 2 dozen cookies and a container to take your “exchanged” cookies home in.  A brunch will be served.

What Goes Up - must come down!

After enjoying our Christmas decorations at the church, we will be taking them down on Saturday, January 3rd at 10:00 am.  If you can help, we would love to have you there. 

A group of women who enjoy knitting and crocheting are meeting the first Wednesday of each month to make Prayer Shawls. We will be meeting at the home of Paula Ludwig:

           Join us on November 5th at 7:00 PM.

Mom’s In Touch International is a group of mothers who meet for one hour each week to pray for their children and the schools they attend. Children face much pressure at school and prayer is a wonderful gift to give them. A group of moms from Kohl Elementary meets every Friday at our church from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Childcare is available for about $10.00/month.

The group is currently on a summer break and will resume in September.
